Write them on the door posts of your house

I love having scriptures around our home.
Before we put an addition on our house 3 yrs. ago, I had verses stenciled on the walls.

The one I had in the living room was "Blessed be the Lord who daily loads us with benefits, the God of our salvation." (I love that one)

In our bedroom, above the bed, I stenciled:
"I will be satisfied when I awake in your likeness." : )

And in the kitchen I had the one about how we are "the apple of His eye" because the kitchen had an apple theme.

Near our TV we've always had Ps. 101:3
"I will set nothing wicked before my eyes." (I love that one)

So, now that the addition and the kitchen are done, I'm getting scriptures back up on my walls.
I'm not into stenciling this time though.
Just printing them in a nice font on parchment type paper and hanging them in nice frames.

In the bathroom we girls use, I've framed:
"Let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us." : )
(Ps. 90:17)

My latest project is a frame that holds several pictures and I've put pictures of our kids in it in black and white. (because I'm a fanatic about black and white photos) And in the middle frame I put a verse that expresses all that my hubby and I want in life....
It's really Paul to the Thessalonians but its also our sentiment towards our children.
"For what is our hope or joy or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming? For you are our glory and joy." 1 Thess. 2:19-20

I'd love to hear what favorite verses you've written on the door posts of your home.
Blessings,
~Becky

Oh, what a great, great idea. I think putting scripture in your rooms is wonderful.

And I am not trying to make light of it at all ... but on the humorous side ... we have a plaque above our kids photos on the family room wall that says, "Thou Shalt Not Whine."

I know, it's the gospel according to mom I guess.

That verse by your TV is a great one. We have talked about that at our house. It is not a problem for us anymore but when our kids were small it was quite the devil of a temptation.

Thanks for sharing this. Great idea.

By the way, your painter is quite the guy to do all that wonderful decorating for you. And to do it per your request. What a guy! I'd keep him if I were you.
