The Missionette Sleepover

I've finally figured out the key to getting a little bit of sleep at the annual sleepover!

Sleep with my ipod! Whoo-hoo!!!
It kept me from hearing 100 giggling girls and snoring moms at 3:00 AM.

Every year I think, this will be the year that I don't attend... ; )
But when your sweet 12 year old daughter says, "Mom, it wouldn't be any fun without you there!"
Who can resist?! : )

Chemistry!

A certain teenage boy of ours just walked by the kitchen and let me know that he doesn't want to have Baked Potato soup for dinner...
"We want something with mass not volume for dinner, Mom!"
Guess who is taking chemistry this year?! ; )

Too cute!

My cute, youngest guy and his buddy were wondering how their snacks last night at Rangers could be "glutton-free." LOL

The big 4-0!

Yesterday my kiddos reminded me that it was my last day 'in my 30's.' : )

Today I am 40! AHHHHHH!

(I think its a wee bit sad to be turning 40 but I don't get any sympathy from my hubby because he is 42! LOL)

It has been a fun day with my sweet family and I have a date to look forward to tonight, with my favorite guy when he gets home!

Extraordinary Faith

Zachary's fine arts team (Extraordinary Faith) made it to Nationals this summer! They did a human video based on Hebrews chapter 11.

They placed somewhere around 11th place in the nation and it was one incredible week!

Thank you, Nathan for posting it for me! : )

Sweet!

This morning my youngest son walked by and said:
"You are doing a great job vacuuming, Mom!"
It was so cute and sweet. : )

~But I think the only reason he noticed is because our rugs were oh, so dirty. lol
Life is BUSY around here lately!!! Busy, blessed and fun!

Early mornings with the Lord

As I mentioned the other day, I am trying to get up really early these days and this quote in My Utmost for His Highest made me laugh:

"Jesus did not say -Dream about thy Father in secret, but PRAY to thy Father in secret." : )
~It also made me think of a cute, certain someone who gets a little too cozy on the coach when he is having his quiet time with the Lord. lol (of course, Oswald meant daydreaming but this works too)

Here's some more from that entry:

"Unless in the first waking moment of the day you learn to fling the door wide back and let God in, you will work on a wrong level all day; but swing the door wide open and pray to your Father in secret and every public thing will be stamped with the presence of God."
Amen. May everything we do, be stamped with His presence!
