It's a tiny bit cooler here

It was 66 degrees when we woke up yesterday. Nice and cool! It was just beautiful.
The kids were so excited they got out their sweatshirts and wore them out. (even though by the time we were half way to our destination I had to crank the A/C and I didn't even have a sweatshirt on) They were bummed that it didn't stay that cool all day and ended up back in the high 80's.

That evening it was an almost chilly 79 degrees (ha ha) so guess what we had to do?

Light a fire in the chimneia on the patio and sing John Denver songs!
Just think of all the fun we'll have when it really gets cold! I can't wait! ; )

Yes, it was 90 today, and I thought it so sad that 90 feels like fall weather around here! Our tbq/jbq is held on the same day at the same place--what a nightmare it would be for us otherwise since we have to travel 3 hours to get to our matches. Great job to your children in both jbq and tbq.

ROFLOL! Just make sure you croon as loudly as possible when he sings, "West Virginia, Mountain Mama," like I used to do when I was a child. Chimneia sings are the best.
Blessings,
