"Your greatest contribution to the Kingdom of God may not be something you do, but someone you raise." ~Andy Stanley

Wednesdays in the Word

These verses have been resounding in my heart this week and they will certainly make you think twice about being caught up in materialism especially when you picture everything we seem to put so much energy towards melting.

"Therefore since all these things will be dissolved,
what manner of person ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness
looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God,

because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat?
Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells." ~2 Peter 3: 11-13

I've heard it quoted often that 'People are the only thing that will last forever,' so may we be godly and holy in our conduct and love those who need to know the Savior.

"Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity." ~Col. 4:5
