Our bar stools were starting to come apart recently after only owning them for a year!Gee, I wonder why?!.
The kids just LOVE them!!!
Then one day we had the black electrical tape out for some reason and I just kept looking at it and then back at the stools....
Maybe it would help!
Here is the 'before' photo:
And the 'after' photo! ~Maybe not perfect but it certainly extended the life of the stools.
That and the fact that we aren't allowed to do this anymore.

I THOUGHT ONLY MEN LIKED THAT KIND OF THING! DUCK TAPE IS MY HUSBANDS BEST FRIEND. HA.
THE OTHER NIGHT DURING SUPPER, I WAS SITTING ON A BAR STOOL, AND I LEANED TO ONE SIDE, AND I THOUGHT, WHOOOPS, I'M FIXING TO BE IN THE FLOOR. I HAD SCOT TO LOOK AT THE BAR STOOL. (OURS ARE 5 OR 6 YEARS OLD) AND ONE OF THE BARS AT THE BOTTOM WAS BROKE, SO HE GOES AND GETS THE DUCK TAPE, WHILE I'M HOLDING MY BREATH DUE TO UNBELIEF AT THE UGLINESS. (OUR TAPE IS GRAY!) HE SAID IT WOULD HELP IT MAKE IT TIL WE COULD GET ANOTHER BAR STOOL AT WALLY WORLD! LOL.
Oh my goodness, your kids actually like to lay like that? It doesn't look too comfy, but I applaud your ingenuity with the tape! I bet you made your husband especially happy!

O.k. I am going to have to try this on our computer chair. We have had our chair for about 8 years but I am so cheap if I can get away with a cheap alternative to fix it I will try it.
