"Your greatest contribution to the Kingdom of God may not be something you do, but someone you raise." ~Andy Stanley

Wednesdays in the Word

Here are some more quotes I love from Oswald Chambers:

"Sanctification means being made one with Jesus so that the disposition that ruled Him will rule us. Are we prepared for what that will cost? It will cost everything that is not of God in us." Ouch!

"Let the past sleep on the bosom of Christ, and go out into the irresistable future with Him."
Whoo-hoo!

"The process of being made broken bread and poured out wine means that you have to be the nourishment for other souls until they learn to feed on God. (Can all the moms say 'Amen?')
They must drain you to the dregs. (Now all the moms say 'Amen,' I'm sure) LOL
Be careful that you get your supply or before long you will be utterly exhausted.
(Don't I know it!) ; )
Before other souls learn to draw on the life of the Lord Jesus directly, they have to draw on it through you...
We owe it to God to be our best for His lambs and His sheep...
"He saved and sanctified you in order to exhaust you.
Be exhausted for God, but remember that your supply comes from Him." : )

I read O Chambers every morning and some days he is in my head till bedtime. Others, he is so heavy that I give up trying to understand him. But I like the challenge :)

Me too. Some of the things he says really stick in my head. I don't get them all either. But I love him. : )
The library had the modern language version and I tried it but I'm stuck on the older version now. How about you?
