Lately, I've prayed to really receive the love the Lord has for me. I hope that you know that you know that:
He has an undying love for you
He loves you more than anyone on earth ever could
He has your name written on the palm of His hand
He will never leave you nor forsake you and
it is impossible for Him to forget you
He adores you
He is for you and not against you
He intercedes for you and cheers you on
He empowers you through the Holy Spirit
He goes before you
He makes a way where there doesn't seem to be a way
You are the apple of His eye
You are not a disappointment or a mistake
He keeps you under the shadow of His wings
He surrounds you with songs of deliverance
He upholds you by His mighty right hand
He delights in you
He hedges you in behind and before
He calls you "the elect of God, holy and beloved."

So then our CA peeps came to FL
We've had our best friends here for the last week and half and it has been a blast! It didn't really dawn on us until the last minute that they would be here on Father's Day and what a blessing that turned out to be. The Lord gave my kids the happiest of distractions!
~So grateful for all the sweet friends who spoke/texted to say they were thinking of us and praying that day. Thank you!
While they were here:
there were visit to various coffee shops:
there was a dead shark rescue mission:
there were cartwheel lessons:
there was a beach day:
there were theological discussions over spray cheese:
there was the reliving of childhood memories:
there was car trouble:
there were evenings of exercise:
there was Peurto Rican food, Cuban food, Mexican food and junk food:
There were a rowdy Uno games:

CA continued
My dad had a spinal surgery while I was in CA and spent four days in the hospital. Bless his heart.
It was nice to be able to extend my trip and be there with my parents during all of that. -And many thanks to my sister who kept us fed on great Mexican food when the hospital food wasn't so great.

My aunt also had surgery while I was there and she is now cancer-free! PTL!
I spent my last weekend in Anaheim with the L Family and Nate.
Saturday night, we went to the Anaheim Packing House. What a fun place! People were hula hooping and playing ping pong in a vegetable garden out front! The inside was full of cute Californian hipsters buying amazing food and listening to live music. I ate something that was a cross between a donut and a croissants.
And this tea!
Yes, that is cotton candy and fruity pebbles on top of it! Craziest looking drink ever! So fun!
Although those boba balls are not my thing! I was hoping they were chocolate. Bahaha!
After church on Sunday we went to Pieology for lunch. Another fun place! Andrew described it as a Subway for pizza. Everyone gets 8" of pie dough and you can choose to put whatever sauce, cheese and toppings you want it and then they cook it for you.
But the very best part, of course, was the company!
As well as these dear friends of Andrew's.
Then we had coffee with a dear friend and rushed off to church.
The next day, I was flying out of LAX, and since the traffic is CRAZY we had brunch nearby in Manhattan beach. What a gorgeous place!

Albeit a very HOT and HUMID corner, but I love it nonetheless. : )

Our time in San Diego
We worshipped with Nathan and the L Family on Sunday in Orange County and then we went out for Mexican food.
And I was embarrassingly excited about my rolled tacos but I will spare you the picture! : )
That night we had the precious P Family over for dinner. Then we headed to San Diego to see my parents. The kids stayed with them and I had a sleep over with my sister, which even included listening to Duran Duran like old times!
On Monday we took Zac's wife, to see our favorite sights. La Jolla was first.
And we couldn't get enough of the seals!!! I have a whole lot of seal footage on my phone!

And this is a photo of the spot where Hubby and I took wedding photos 24 years ago! Lots of great memories here!
Then we went to downtown San Diego for more Mexican Food with the L Family and my brother
and his wife.
This hole in the wall of a place always has a line out the door!
I'm pretty sure it is because of these homemade tortillas! Mouth watering!
The next stop was Coronado!
We had fun looking inside Hotel Del and then enjoyed the sights at the beach.
Then we went back to my parents, where GrandDad smoked us all in Wii Bowling, like he always does! : )

When it hurts
Prayers appreciated for my kids this weekend as they make it through their first Father's Day!
They were very blessed to have such an incredible Dad!
And he was beyond proud of each of them!
